Checked headspace on a mixed numbered AMD after build. breach block closed on the (GO) gauge and would not close with an aditional .003" but after 8 rounds testing and spent case inspection, the gun refused to chamber a round into batterie. It seems that it set back (the front end was new), had to carefully remove .010" from the locking lugs while checking for aqual mating of lugs. Works great noy, has this happened to any of ya"ll?

is your ammo consistant length?
could be a short chamber and too long ammo. sounds like you took care of the problem though.

sounds like there was alittle play in the barrel when the bolt slams shut it will move the barrel deeper into the trunnion if it can (dont know why thats just the way it is )

I was test firing a AK pistol the other day and I had forgot to put the cross pin back in and after about 10 rounds the barrel had moved forward about 1/32".Surprizingly the cases looked normal.
