so i got the piece that i put the upper hand guard onto today and i cant get it on.  it looks like i have to put it in backwards then spin it to get it in right.

is that the right way to do it or am i missing something?

You got it, dont forget to hold your mouth just right though. They can be a bugger sometimes

put a wrench on the back of the gas tube ( the squared part at the rear) for a bit ov leverage.  Take it slow and steadyso you are sure not to crack the wood.  They can be tight, but they will fit.
