well i ordered a parts kit from centerfire recieved it in four days, packaged well and in beautiful condition, big gun show comming up here in detroit the first of the year hoping to pick up a reciever then, this website is a direct result of me starting this build, gonna go with a rivet build gonna try the air hammer method of installing the rivets, once i have the reciever in hand i will build a jig to hold the reciever, my neighbor who owes me tons and tons of favors is a master machinest who has three cnc mills in his garage, go figure. hopefully we can figure something out thats easy i will post comments as i go along with the design of the jig.  JoeWhile i'm writing this post i'm watching some movie on the "spike" channel everyone seems to be carrying an amd 65, funny huh, tons of shooting all kinds of com bloc weapons and quite a few hollywood made up guns, an apc was chasing the main actor (dolf i dont know his name but rockey kicked his ass years ago) anyway the apc dude shot an RPG-7 at him without a rocket i thought it was funny, big explosing but no rocket, also the amd's are 65's but without the muzzle surpressor, lol and man do they shoot quick they sound like a GE mini gun at knob creek, anyway just a little sidetracked but cool guns in a not so good movie but worth the watch just to see the guns in action (Red Scorpian, Dolf lundgren)

I have seen the plinker jig on here before, it looks to be a quality jig, but the way i think i like to do things differently at times, i usually end up spending twice as much but if i dont try then i will never know, i cant imagine how many mousetraps there are out there i'm sure most of them work but every year someone designs a new mouse trap thinking his is better eventhough whats the end point....to catch a mouse.  So i'm one of those people gonna try and make a new mouse trap ( reciever jig).  I was thinking about using an air hammer a tool that i already have but as i started drawing out different designs i was thinking an hydraulic design, in my theroy i want to pull one lever and do all the rivets simutanously with hydraulic force, kinda over kill for a first time build i know, but then again i do everything over kill.  I see a lot of gerry rigged ways people install rivets here on this site and on others, maybe i can come up with something better or easier for that matter and maybe not we shall see.  Joe
