[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Saiga Convert Info For Newbie

I've built about 4 ARs and decided I need an AK project. Did a search of the board for some cool stuff and I want to take a Saiga and add a pistol grip, folding stock and fix it to accept standard AK mags. I need a quick summary of the legal issues. And I need to know mechanically how to get the thing to accept mags, pistol grip and folder. I did a search here but the info seemed dated. Where's a good start on legal issues and mechanics?

there is no real legal issues you must add us parts to convert to a pg but other than that there is none

See the sticky in the Russian forum. 5 US parts, usually fcg/hts, pg and buttstock. Do the gas piston if you want a furrin folder.
