[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mag release rivet

How has the rivet for the mag release? I had to drill mine out and need a replacement. Thanks

Global Trades has them, and i believe K-Var does as well. You might also try AA-OK

Anyone know how the hell to get the mag release spring to go back into place after it is removed? I have tried and tried, but just can't get it. What is the trick? Thanks

Here's how I did it.

1) Make a pin that is just as wide as the lever. (use a nail, drill shank, whatever is handy)

2) Position the spring inside the lever and install the pin.

3) Position the lever/spring /pin assembly in the trigger guard.

4) Push the homemade pin out with the lever pivot pin.

5) Flare the ends of the pin over with a blunt punch to retain pin in guard.

*Added* Worked like a champ! I just have to get a rivet now. But until then my punch will work.
