I got an AK74 kit and removed the barrel so I can rivet the trunnion to the receiver. Plain and simple. Someone sid that installing the barrel is a real problem, tho I don't see where it will be. Simply line up the barrel/lug combination and press til the pin lines up with the hole.  I saw elsewhere here something about a jig tho there were no pictures showing how the jig is used.

So what is there to installing the barrel into the trunnion that is so hard ?

If you press the barrel in before installing the reat trunnion it is pretty easy.
I made a sloted a aluminum plate that just fits over the barrel to rest against the rear sight block.
Then I used 2 pieces of 1/4x1 1/4 stock squared up to the same size. I place the barrel in the flat plate in the arbor press with the muzzle down, then slide the 1/4 stock inside the receiver. One above the the lower guide rails and the other below them. I made a spacer to hold the parallel then using the arbor press against the back of the 1/4 stock it pushes against the trunnion pressing the barrel in.
If the rear trunnion is installed then you are on your own. lol
