| I used the tools made by Plinker762, i just completed my first build and i did the front trunion in 15 minutes with professional results, the rivets look great, why screw or weld when you can do it the right way easy. [email protected] |

guys i dont have pictures, but im sure Plinker will send you some. basically the tool is a solid 1 1/2 inch by 5 inch rod with a 3/4 hole in it that accepts various ram rods, all supported in a frame with a base to press against. these ram rods have removable and adjustable tips that press on the rivets. these rods are contured to allow you to get into the trunnion to press the rivets , on the rivet head side is a small piece of steel plate with a dimple in it to support the rivet head. Your press ram pushes on the 1 1/2 rod which in turn puts pressure on the smaller rod and adjustable tip . My 12 ton made in china press crushed the rivets with no problem. The results are great and the FEG receiver i used is the best, i wish i had another. |
