| Hey AK brothers,I have been reading everything about building I can.I went to Global and picked up one of there Polish kits.The barrel was off the trunion.By the way the kit is first class.They would not press the barrel on due to the law about they sold me the parts.I guess I can find someone with a 12 ton press.My question is How far do I press the barrel on? I know there is a pin through the trunion.Once on I need to check head space?.If head space is not good what do I do Then??or am I wrong?I am going to make a reciver from a ACE blank.This is my first AK build and I am going to screw it together. please help.and tell me what to do. instead of borrowing, why not just buy a 12-ton press? You might want one of 'em barrel pressing kits with that. There's currently a group-buy on those on the AK section of www.gunsnet.net. |
