How hard is it to put a kit together? I've put together a few ar-15 rifes. Can I use a kit that is sold for replacement parts only? The kit from centerfire systems is sold as replacement only.

It's not as easy as the AR15, but it is easy. There are 3 methods for attaching the receiver to barrel. 1. Rivit- the hardest and most time consuming. Have to remove the trunnion from barrel by pressing it out, rivit trunnion in receiver, press barrel back in, headspace,
2. Screw- don't have to remove trunnion from barrel, but it helps.tapp trunnion, put in screws. 3. weld it. slide barreled trunnion into receiver, line everything up, clamp it, tig weld the front trunnion. put together rest of receiver, slide rear trunnion into place, line it up with top cover on to space it correctly, clamp it, tig weld it. Of the 3, welding is the fastest, you'll be out shooting long before any other method.

the legal consensus seems to be 'yes'.

will OOW receiver work with Centerfire systems AMD63 or 65 kits and which is better? I see FAC has a barrel ext. for the 63 kits to get it to the 16"
Thanks
