I'm trying to remove the forearm on my arsenal ak, but just can't seem to get it off. I can get the gas tube off, but not the forearm. I don't want to damage it, as I am swapping stock sets between two rifles. Thanks

It should come right off by rotating it.Some of them are on pretty tight but grab ahold and twist and it will come off sooner or later.

are you refering to the wood around the gastube or the bottom part of the forearm? The bottom piece has a little latch lever that you have to lift up and rotate towards the front of the rifle its on the barrel band thingy on the front of the wood on the right hand side.

that's it. I posted on another forum and was directed to a site with directions, so I now know what I am SUPPOSED to be doing. Thanks for the help
