WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

So I have a yugo ak pistol as well as a yugo rpk. I'm starting ak rifle build and am making my stock set from scratch. Soooo, heres my problem. I have started with a receiver flat and am waiting to find the right price on a parts kit. Well since I had the wood for my stock I decided to pull the one off my rpk to use as a template for my new stock. However, I did not realize (not having an actual ak stock and assuming it was same as rpk) that the trunion in the rear of the rpk receiver is patterned off the milled receiver and unfortunately I don't believe I left enough wood to make it fit the regular ak receiver. I was thinking of ordering the rpk rear trunnion but it is for the 1.5mm receiver therefore when riveting it in the 1mm receiver it will pinch the difference of .5mm on each side or any number of differences in spacing to one side or the other unless I shim it .5mm both sides and rivet through the shim. That is not the route I wish to take and was wondering if anyone sold a rear trunnion that has the square plug style for the butt stock  like the milled receiver for a 1mm receiver?

Yeah the Yugo rifles and RPK use a buttstock that is unlike any other countries.  As you found out it uses a socket system with a long 8mm through bolt to hold it in place.  As for a new trunnion, Matt Yeamen (goes by Turbothis on some of the other boards) had at one time made a Yugo rear trunnion for the 1mm receivers.  Very well done, and pretty inexpensive too.  Give him an email and see if he has any still
