im finally getting around to putting my fcg in, and i cant seem to find anyhting online about the orig retainer spring. i found videos on youtube about installing the krebs retainer but how do you install the orig retainer?

i get that it goes over the pins but what goes through the back of it? im thinking because i dont have full auto parts that maybe something is missing.???

Here's a site on Romanian AK's that shows the various types or retainer wires and how they fit:

Note the link on the left on "Fire Control Removal". Page 4 gets into the wire types:

Bulgarian rifles use Method 3, but the looped end of the wire fits over the TRIGGER pin and under the HAMMER pin.

There are a lot of different ways to install your retainer wire, here is a few.

If you remove your FCG very often it may be easier to install a retainer plate.

These plates make FCG removal & installation easy.

appreciate the replies guys but none of those springs apply to mine. it turns out i do indeed have the full auto retainer spring. so now i have to build it as a full auto.......................j/k.

im gonna order a semi spring from rtg. the alum hyde still needs to cure before i can shoot it anyway. plus i have been meaning to order some parts for another hk build anyway, so this gives me an excuse.

I didn't know you were talking about a FA retainer spring, here is want you need to do with a FA spring to get it to work in a semi-auto.
The FA spring that comes with the kit can be reused just by cutting at the arrow(see pic.).

The hook under the center support towards the rear of the gun. Next install the hammer, and axis pin let the spring wire pull up into the groove of the axis pin. Then lift the tail of the spring wire, & install the trigger/disconnector group with the axis pin, letting the spring wire rest in the groove of the trigger axis pin.
The hooked spring wire will stay in the gun forever, it never needs to be removed again.
It should look like this when done.
