Ah, okay I see what you're saying now. You can't go based off of the ORIGINAL date on the receiver because when that receiver was cut up for export it was no longer a "receiver", just scrap metal. When it was re-welded in the 90's it was re-manufactured. So it's really a receiver from the 90's, not the 50's. I'm not versed well enough in NY law so I can't answer if it's legal for you to have or not. But I would tread carefully.
