Been a busy week putting together a couple of kits, rivets are a PITA - especially if you don't have all the fancy jigs It's rough looking, but it will work.

So now that the rivets are done and I wait for some stuff to come in to help with the barrel installation, I've been trying to fit the FCG's. Tapco G2 went into the Romy G OK, ended up using the old disconnector spring from the Bulgy 74 kit. The Romy kit didn't have a disco spring. I have to say that I'm disappointed that the FCG kits don't come with a spring. I'd like to avoid having to order another small part when I don't have much else to buy at the moment, does anyone have measurements for the spring? Maybe there's an AR spring that will fit since I have plenty of extras for those?
No pics from today's work yet, but here they are before I did the rear trunnion rivets. 24" Harbor Freight bolt cutters ground down for the short trunnion rivets, AK Builder jig for the trigger guard(also used it to help out with the rear trunnion rivets), and a piece of flat steel bar with some holes cut by a round end mill, and a large Harbor Freight punch with application of the round end mill again and a BFH for the long rivets. Fun times but glad it's almost over Almost messed up the Romy gas piston, drilled through with some trouble and then as the rivet started getting loose I noticed I was off a bit. Worked out in the end, fortunately the rivet heads are much more visible on the Bulgy piston. Receivers are NDS that got rusty after sitting in the basement for a year, so I had them parkerized.

Boy Do I know that one I waited two weeks for some and made sure I ordered 3 but some one told me that you can make one with a Pen spring but I did after I purchased mine I found some longer at True Value in the bin section you just have to cut them to the right size.. and they don't have the bigger foot on them. that also can be done with a punch but or a pair of needle nose pliers....

My pen springs don't quite fit But I did finally find my misplaced calipers, looks like the hole is 0.165 and the pen springs I found are around 0.17. Just a little too large, maybe too soft - I don't know. I managed to squeeze it in there with a lot of work, and it seems to be working when I cycle everything by hand, but I'll be ordering plenty of spares next time I buy stuff.
