Trying to trouble shoot my trigger group problem here and could use some help.
Build is a romanian UF on a NDS 3 receiver. Trigger is currently the original auto set, I have not ordered us made parts yet. Problem is the hammer will not catch on the trigger or sear when the bolt pulls the hammer rearward. Looks like the hammer needs to be pushed down about an extra 1/16 in by the bolt for it to catch. It will catch if I pull the hammer down by hand. If i hold the trigger rearward, I am not able to get the hammer to catch on the sear at all. The hammer spring is looped around the trigger the way it is supposed to be. Not certain where to go from here. Could be a problem with the wear on the original trigger. Could be receive holes are off? Any input is appreciated. Thanks |

I for one would doubt the trigger parts are so worn they no longer functioned when the kit was demilled. My guess is there is something else going on. Glad to hear a new FCG works fine, it may be my OCD but I make sure it worked with the original parts before thinking it will be totally fine with new parts. From your description it is hard to say what is likely causing the problem, but my guess would range from out of spec receiver to rear trigger guard rivet not crushed enough. Sure there are plenty of other possibilities as my experience building these has suggested, but hard to say without pictures or handling it. |

No the parts were not terribly worn, but they deff do not work in this receiver. parothread's suggestion looks like it would work just fine. I may give that a try, even though the new trigger group works good. I didnt post any pics because I cant see anything to take a picture of. Thanks for all the replies. |
