I just finished building two Romy kits from a flat, now I have a problem with both of them.  Sometimes the bolt carrier gets stick when I pull the charging handle back, sometimes it doesn't.  It usually gets stuck in the same place.  When I checked for function before installing the barrel, it was as smooth as glass.  Now that the barrels are installed, I have this little problem on both of them.  Am I missing something?  I should also note that I have not yet installed the FCG, so I know it's not catching up on that.

Where is the carrier stopping?

It stops almost immediately, right before the bolt leaves the rails from the trunnion to where the rails from the receiver meet the trunnion.  The spacing is close, but must be ok, as it doesn't always jam, and when it doesn't, it moves smoothly.

First, have you lubricated the bolt lugs and the rails? If not, try that. There could be just enough added friction to cause a stoppage.
If you get the stoppage with the parts lubricated, take the bolt out of the carrier and slide it along the lower rails into the trunnion, then reverse the process. If the top of the lower rails are too high, you should be able to feel the bolt drop slightly when it enters the trunnion and feel any resistance when it moves out of the trunnion.

lube the rails and also check and make sure the carrier isnt getting stuck on the rails. maybe the rails are bent in to much and need to be trimmed. how did you bend your flats?
