Finally putting the paint (Duracoat) on two krinkov builds (762 and 545).
Has anyone done any tests on Krinkov barrel temperature, other than this Krinkov heat test? Specifically, I am concerned that the Krink barrel could quickly get up to close to 500 degrees, the max point for duracoat. I'm wondering whether I should use duraheat on just the barrel, and do the rest of the gun in a matching duracoat, or whether I should do the entire thing in duraheat (unnecessary, but would probably be a more uniform finish). Any thoughts? I've used duracoat before on my saiga 12 (no chance of getting it that hot) and on a hungarian underfolder (safe queen), so I don't have any experience with its ability to stand up to heat, nor do I have experience with how hot Krinkov barrels get (and how quickly they get hot).
