I demilled my 1st Yugo kit yesterday and thought I would never get the old receiver parts off of the trunion. It was more difficult then the Romanian I demilled. I noticed what looked like spot welds. Did Zastava spot weld all of the underfolde AK's in addition to riveting them? I have a spot welder but is this something I should do as well?

I don't know about all, but yes they did, my UF and fixxed stock had a single spot weld on each side.
No you don't have to but if you feel like it.

Yup mine had welds.

Nope you shouldn't spot yours cause you may upset the heat-treatment of the trunnion. Rivets are plenty strong when properly used.
