| I have a heavy yugo rpk barrel that has a worn muzzle, swallows a gauge maybe 1 inch into the bore. I want to counterbore it but I'm not sure of the proper tools to use. Can anyone point me in the right direction with Brownells or Midawy's tools? I've recrowned muzzles with a crowning tool, but never done a counterrboring. Anyone ever counterbored a rifle? |
| I've never done it myself, but I have seen rifles that have been counter bored. Since your bore is about .311, you'd need at least a 5/16 counter bore which is .312. Now for the pilot, I'm not sure what size you'll need, maybe a custom pilot for your bore. Here is a link to some at MSC's website, check brownells also http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/GSDRVSM?PACACHE=000000096824390 |
