Thanks in advance.

I am going to install a double hook trigger in my Century Yugo M70 (way loooooong trigger pull).  The receiver is a Nodak Spud with a single hook G2.  The receiver is cut for a single hook.

Should I grind the edge of the trigger (this is how Interarms did my Tantal on a Nodak Spud) or cut another channel in the receiver?

If I should cut the receiver, how do I do it to still look nice?

Grinding the receiver is easy with a Dremel and cut off wheel, as long as you have patience and a steady hand.

The gunsmiths standard is to alter the part that's cheapest/easiest to replace if things go wrong, which in this case is the trigger.

However, the more elegant option is to cut another slot in the receiver.
A small round file would be best, since its easy to control and there's no chance of a powered tool slipping, and "running over" the receiver, scarring it.

I'd recommend a small diameter chainsaw file.  These are almost the exact diameter needed, and only a few strokes is all that's needed to cut the short slot.
Keep filing dust out of the action and trigger, and use a bit of paint or even a magic marker to cover the exposed metal.

Thanks, I have a chainsaw file.  I would be more nervous filing on the receiver than the trigger, but I do agree that it would be more correct.

Thanks for your help.

I normally always subscribe to this theory myself.
However in this case I agree, modding the receiver is the way to go. It is such a simple operation the chances of doing any real damage to the receiver are practically nil.

It's not so bad once you get started!

Thanks guys.  After taking a dremel to a Bulgarian barrel this weekend, I will try a file on a receiver.
