I know there is no import on these RPD GI Barrels but does anyone know of a source that may have some in stock? The current Commercial barrels are made by Shaw and not chromed lined. I will never buy a Shaw barrel.

I saw them also and I did not know at the time Shaw was making RPD barrels. If I see them again I will ask them if they are GI or Commercial. I think at that price they will be commercial.

I was looking at some kits on Gunbroker and they wanted almost 1K. The Unissued kits Sarco has are $499.00. There is no way I am going to pay twice the amount of an un-issed kit just to have a used GI barrel. I may buy an unissued kit and just start looking at the gun shoows and boards for an original GI barrel.

I sent one guy on GB several emails with questions about his kits. He never returned an email to me. How in the Hell do these guys expect to sell items without answering questions from potenial buyers.

Usually when I sell things on GB if a potential buyer exhibits "high maintenance*" characteristics, I usually ignore their questions and pray to God they don't win.

*= asking lots of specific questions, wanting very very detailed information about the item which may or may not be verifiable, giving me the impression that they are so picky that they might never be satisfied with any item, nitpicking, etc.

I don't think asking someone if their kit has a GI Barrel or a Commercial barrel is nitpicking. If you build your kit with the commercial barrel you can never install a GI barrel in it. The receiver must be reamed out because Shaw's barrels are larger then the GI barrels around the chamber area that sits inside of the receiver.
