I dont know if there are threads on the barrel, although I would like to know as well. As far as 922 goes, if you leave the thumbhole stock on it 922 does not apply.div class='quoteStyle']Quoted:
I need to know about the pinned on muzzle break on Romainian PSL's.

Can they be removed?
Are there still useable threads on the barrel?
By removing the brake, am I bringing the rifle into 922r territory?

What I'd like to do is get the "Tabuk" style flash hider as sold on the nodakspud website. Why? cause they look cool thats why Even if this causes me to use US parts, it shouldn't be too big a deal (I think) 3 for trigger, 1 receiver, 1 US gas piston, 1 for muzzle brake - should be good right?

Anyhow, I'm still not sure how I ended up with 2 psl kits, but since I've got 'em, I've decided to make them my "twins"

You are going to trade out the receiver?

Well I guess I'll answer my own question. I've checked the web, and apparently since mine has a pin, that means the muzzle brake was pressed on, so no threads. What a bummer. I wonder if there's enough OD on the barrel to thread it? Any thoughts?

The Romanians can have some interesting variations in detail.  If SAR and WASRs are any indication,  theres no telling until you get the old device off and mic the barrel.  They could have never threaded the barrel, turned off the threads, or just turned down the barrel to prevent threading.  I've seen all 3.
