Can you press a dimple into the reciever on a wasr to eliminate mag woble?

I guess if you could find a good way to support the receiver while pressing it, it should work. The question is it worth it?

Well other than mag wobble, what are the other draw backs of a wasr?  I love mine, functions flawlessly.   I cant see spending more money for an ak just so the mag is a pinch tighter.

Not all WASRs are going to have wobble, and even if they wobble, the amount of wobble varies from rifle to rifle, and mag to mag. As long as the rifle still functions, I wouldn't worry about it.

the receivers are hardened so it would be REAL hard to dimple.you would have to take out the "L" brackets(mag stabilizers) inside then make a dimple jig and recess for the dimple jig.much like this set up..

I am sure the receiver is hard and you would never get a good impression.  I would spot weld some proper size  blocks inside the receiver.

could you weld some kind of bumps on the mags them selves?

As others have said, the receivers are hardened and it would be very difficult to press a dimple into them.  You also run the risk of cracking the receiver.

Is the rifle malfunctioning?
If so return it.
If not, why worry?
If you're worried anyway, someone posted that he epoxied strips of metal cut from a computer slot filler inside the receiver and eliminated the "problem".
