What Ya All Think... I popped my AK-47 Build cherry and this is how it came out. http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp152/szubas1/IMG_0330.jpghttp://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp152/szubas1/IMG_0329.jpghttp://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp152/szubas1/IMG_0328.jpg |
Ya, I had a minor Jam Jam Jam problem but thanks to AR-15 members, it was nullified. It shoots great and very accurate.http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp152/szubas1/IMG_0328.jpg
Thanks. I cut off the pistol grip and sanded it down. It has a more authentic look.http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp152/szubas1/IMG_0327.jpg
Thanks. I got the Gun-Kote in aerosol can from Brownells, followed the instructions on his video and baked it. it took some time to bake all the parts since I can't paint everything at the same time but the end result is great.hock.gif
I really can't say much about the durability of Gun-Kote since it is fresh and I have only shot the rifle once since being painted. The BOTTER shoot in St. augustine on the 18th will be a true test. I plan on blsting a shit load of shells through it, so we'll see. As for the finish,I simply stripped the furniture with some el cheapo stripper, washed it really well with water, let it sit inside the house for two weeks and then I stained it with minwax stain and clearcoted with semi-gloss polyurethane spray ( about 12 coats. I saw a tutorial on furniture refinishing somewhre on AR-15 and I'll try to find it for you and I tell you this guy new his shit. Later..
