A friend helped me out with my first build, we ordered a few of the C grade kits. this will be more of a beater rifle than anything, a pretty inexpensive build. I'm real happy with how it turned out though. I bent a tapco flat for the reciever. There is some minor pitting on the front sight post, and a little more on the rear trunnion. I used some durabake for the finish, and it came out very nice. I still need to drill a hole in the front handguard for the cleaning rod, and then she'll be done!

Thing people don't realize is virtually every single firearm an American gets is all but guaranteed never to be used to kill some one. I say we propose all military firearms get sent to the US to help prevent them from being used to kill people! |

LOL both of those post are great.  Nice looking build, you did a great job on your first, now you have to improve on your next one.

I've only put 60 rounds through the rifle so far, so it will take a little more time to find out for sure. My initial impression is that it's about 100 times more comfortable than the grip that came with the kit. (In my hand anyway) |
