I have not dealt with him personally, but I'd call first, just to feel him out. I usually give companies the benefit of the doubt, until they prove otherwise.

I just ordered some parts, so I'll let you guys know.

Ohio Rapid Fire has them. They are not listed on the website so you have to call and ask. Last I heard they were going for $25.

There are several places but I would find one that has several things you are wanting to get to offset the shipping.

Careful - what gun are they going on?

I've bought Guards from Centerfire - they are "striped", not new.  That means that the mag latch hole is already drilled.  They are suitible for an AK47 - but useless for an AK74, as that hole is too far back toward the butstock.

You could call K-var to see when these will be back in stock.

Call Ohio Rapid Fire, they have / use to have 74's take-downs.
I got one for my Krink and it is correct / perfect fit part.

If you buy "virgin" guard kit, you will need to drill latch pin hole, mill the selector stop plate (wide cut in the middle of it), dress top edge of the latch at 102 deg (not sure on the angle, but can verify it with repair manual later on).

Received 11/29 5:05PM

Fast shipping (4 days from order to delivery) The 30-round AK mag that arrived with the order is just as nice looking. I'm satisfied.
