I need to be organized, my OCD, I am keeping my range tools in a Magul zippered bag, need more organization...would like to find a tool roll up, small, but can't find anything.
This is for my range bag, so needs to be kind if small. Any suggestions. To get to a tool, I nee to dump the entire bag on the shooting bench now. Thanks, 77 |

Veto Pro Pac makes great bags for tools. They will last a lifetime. I hear they are working on a range bag. Check out vetopropac.com Thanks for the heads up. 77 |

1) Freezer zip-lock bag - single or doubled-up 2) $1 pencil boxes at WalMart - there will be lots soon with the back-to-school stuff 3) Money zipper pouch (envelope shaped) in the WalMart stationary section. for classes, I actually bring a fishing tackle box with a full set of tools and spare parts |

Picture of the Emdom Kit Mat I purchased from SKD Tactical...got it when they had a 20% sale.
It holds what I need, no more....the work mat works out perfect. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I've found that when the word "gun" ("zombie", "tactical", "SOCOM" or the like) gets associated with anything, the price goes up, so I look elsewhere. Harbor Freight has a nice 14 pocket tool roll (https://www.harborfreight.com/14-pocket-tool-roll-93828.html) for about $10. WalMart has several starting for about $9.50 (https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=tool%20roll&cat_id=0). If it doesn't have to be a roll, I like to look for small parts and tool bags in photographic stores. This is an example of one for about $8 (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Zeikos-Classic-Camera-Bag/665854562) Think outside the gun aisle and you can probably save some money and have more choices. |

I have used a tackle box for the longest timenow. The type with trays that stack on top of each other inside the box when closed and lift up and to the rear when opened.
Lots of little slots for organizing brushes and jags by caliber, and some room for the range essential tools along with all my cleaning supplies. I actually need to get the large size box now because ineed more room. Ive had this med size box for well over 10 yrs now. The biggest fear of using this box, if it was to flip over, ide have a fair amount of work to sort out any stuff from the top tray. i keep all my little parts inside the trays that stack and not the top tray. If its only tools you need to organize, ive seen people use those wedge shaped zippered tool bags from home depot or lowes that have slots inside them for tool organization. |
