Just went up to NAPA for a couple of things and saw Seafoam 'Deep Creep'. Didn't know what it was so I was reading the can - turns out its a cleaner/lube. I can't resist! I've cleaned two guns with it so far, and I like it - a SIG 556R and an old Army rebuild M1911, bore and all. Cleans carbon, powder, old lubes, whatever and leaves a nice lubrication. Next time I'll wear mechanics nitrile gloves - whatever the lube is, its slick and pretty much doesn't wash off hands. Smells similar to 'Sheath'. Says on can '100% Pure Petroleum', so no Teflon or silicones.
I know, everybody is going to continue to use their favorite gun products, and that's fine. I just have a feeling this stuff is going to catch on. |
