I bought some to try, and Im really impressed. Any one else been using this stuff?? Its cleaned the surfaces so much better then the hoppes ive been using for years. Now Im just wondering hows it gonna hold up at the next shoot, they will sit awhile before that happens so wondering if anyone else has any feedback thats been using it.

Glad to hear a good report on this stuff! I have been reading a lot of good reviews about frog lube so I ordered some yesterday. Are you using the lube or the paste? I ordered both but I'm thinking i'll like the paste better

I bought the lube, they didnt have the paste in stock where I purchased from. My friend has been using it for awhile and I finally took his advice. He likes to heat up his parts with a hairdryer so it soaks into the metal pores but I didnt have time to do that. I just did the normal cleaning and it worked fine. The lube is almost like a light gel, It def sticks and soaks into the metal better then the hoppes oil I was using.

I use it on all my firearms. It stays in one spot. On the bcg it does not run or cook off. Still looks wet after a day at the range.

I switched to it exclusively.  The first couple of times putting it on the gun I heated it up pretty good.  Threw the parts in the oven at 350 for a few minutes.  Nothing to long.  Did that two or three times.  Now, the residue just wipes off, and the gun is as clean as it would get other wise.

I was really excited for it but I heard it provides minimal corrosion resistance and begins to gum up in mildly cold temperatures. Still gotta do some more research

Good question about how it reponds it cold temps, would be interested to know myself. Here is a page from their website at the top it explains how to use it in cold weather. http://www.froglube.com/coldweather-tne.htm As for the corrosion resistance dont really think thats an issue, clearly states on the web site lubricating rust prevention product.

girlfriend could not cycle the action on my older mid 90's model p226 in 9mm or some of my .45's due to the heave spring weight. After one application of your CLP she can manipulate them almost with ease.

Been using FL for a year now on my AR and all of my handguns.
Only use Mpro7 on my hunting rifles.
Not one problem using the FL.
Cleanup seems to get easier every time.

No reason to stop using it.

Been using the frog lube for about 6 months now and I have been impressed.  I have to contend with the Florida humidity and everything else tends to evaporate if left sitting for 1-2 weeks before shooting.  The frog lube stays in place and activates when the weapon is fired.  I have completely switched to frog lube.

I am cheap, so I just use generic synthetic motor oil for lube.  $5 or less should last me for a really long time, plus it works damn well.

My weapon rusted (the bolt tail, Orange freckles after 120 rounds suppressed, wipe down with a clean microfiber, left to set for 72 hours before detailed cleaning with the light sheen from some of the froglube on it from when it was initially lubricated heavily before firing the 120 rounds.). It felt like elmers glue when the froglube mixed with any fouling and sat for any length of time.

Well that sucks, but its good know so I can keep an eye on what to watch out for. So far Ive only used it to clean, we will see what happens when I shoot these cleaned guns. If it dont cut the mustard it will be sharing space in the trash can.

I've been using Froglube on just about everything for quite a while.  It has worked great in general for me.  The only problem I found was that after shooting corrosive ammo, it doesn't seem to prevent corrosion in the bore as well as my old Breakfree CLP.  So I use the Breakfree on bores that see corrosive ammo but Froglube everywhere else.

I don't like the stuff. I find it much harder to clean off of my AR, and the appilcation is aggrivating. It doesn't seem to stay where I want it in the rifle either.  It wipes right off and leaves zero film if you don't watch it.

I tried it and found it to be mediocre as a cleaner and as a lube. I now only use it on my rearview mirrors housings- keeps them black and shiny.
M-pro7+EWL+Militec= love.

I've been using froglube  on a sig 516 gen2 ever since the initial cleaning.

Cleaning is very easy, even the piston rod.

I only shoot outside and have been out when temps are in the low 30s.
never had any issue w/ FL 'gumming up' and my BCG is well lubed.

be well

not that i am doubting you and i have yet to try frog lube but based on the fact people grease & mobil1 the crap out of ar's and they function fine, i cant imagine frog lube affected the performance of an ar.
my uncle (a Marine) was in saudi arabia, kuwait & iraq for desert storm/shield and he said they cleaned with "whatever oil they had" then wiped all the oil off their rifles because the sand stuck to it and made mud. told me he fired more rounds then he could ever count and never an issue other than the occasional fte.
frog lube seems to be a good product but it is pricey and i am no fan of a paste vs liquid. i use safariland clp and some slip ewg on the high wear points for my ar but will consider the frog lube when its time to buy more.

One of my friends ARs completely stopped in sub-freezing conditions because of Frog Lube.

It was like the BCG had been smeared with clay or wax.

Get back to me when you do.

I gave it an honest shot and I would rather run the thing dry. FL gums up, is hard to clean and expensive. Any of your better solvents and cleaners screw the whole cycle up, and then you have to strip everything with IPA and break out a blow dryer to spread what is basically coconut oil. It's much faster to use traditional gun cleaning products. If it works for you go for it. Just stating my experience.

I've been deployed as well and know exactly what your uncle is talking about.

For everyone thats using the FL and saying its gumming up, is it the paste or gel that your using? Not sure if either or would make a difference but would be good to know if its one or the other or both. Also the more details the better as far as your shooting conditions, how many rounds before it starts to gum up and what were outside temps, hot or cold etc etc... My guns are only range guns so I may or may not ever have a problem using FL but others in more demanding conditions might so its good to hear from real people giving real feedback. I bought this stuff with high hopes but seems to be quite a few folks saying the same things about it gumming up and especially in cold weather.

I'm guessing. But if you've seen hydrogenated coconut oil it really does look like it mixed with some mint oil. It may have some other stuff in it. It's just a guess.

I will say that I really wanted this stuff to work well, and it may for some people. The stuff does smell awesome, and I enjoyed that you could use your bare hands with it.

Just witnessed this myself today.  A guy shooting in the practical rifle match today had 3 malfunctions.  He stated he was using frog lube and this was his first malfunctions ever.  It was about 20 degrees outside today.

I like the stuff better than anything else I've used. It would have been nice to have this on my weapon overseas when I got hit by sandstorms and just the daily elements associated with being a grunt.. If you coat any weapon with to much lube, it's gonna freeze, if you put your face to a weapon and its to cold, you'll get frostbite... That's the nature of cold weather.
My weapons run with FL, I like it, and so far I haven't had any problems. I've used Mobil 1, automatic tranny fluid, etc, etc.
I have Army issued CLP
Tech shield elite
Rem oil
Mil com.

I use FL.... It's nice not having to spend hours cleaning your weapons after months of being in the elements...

How is FL faster for you? CLP is just as fast.

I tried it on a new upper for four or five range sessions.  Worked fine, until one day I couldn't shoot the rifle.  These were the first shots of the day.  I had to pull apart the BCG several times to wipe parts.  Finally I just wiped all the FL off, used CLP, and kept shooting.  Ambient temps in high 30's.

That's a poor track record to me, though a small sample size.  I decided to stick to what I already trust.  Can you imagine if I had been shooting under duress?

I was using CLP and didn't feel like I was getting enough lubrication with it.  I saw M-Pro7 at the gun store and thought I'd give it a try.  I really like it.  It lubricates really, really well.  I just ordered the rest of the line, and we'll see where it goes.

Mpro-7 LPX is pretty damn nice.

Working at a range, I had a ton of rental pistols and a few rifles to keep clean and running.  Always getting samples from distributors to try.

LPX kept stuff running well.  Slightly better than standard CLP when it came to fresh cleaned guns.

The Mpro-7 lpx was my go to lube for basically every Customers malfunction of personal weapons.  It seemed to get peoples dirty ass dry guns running immediately, where as CLP took some shots, or a lot of cycling to bust everything loose.
Basically every lube is more or less shit that's been around since the 40's/50's.

Still havent shot any of the guns I used FL on, but already I decided next cleaning cycle im going back to clp and Ill try super lube on the BCGs. I stuck some FL in the freezer and didnt like the results, in 30 mins time it already was gummy. If I was shooting in a wet environment I would probably continue  with FL but I shoot in more cold then wet so goodbye FL.
