Explains in black and white all about lubricants, differences between grease and oils (there is none really besides the viscosity).

I think it would be very helpful to people confused about Lubes, as well as some explanations on some "bro-science" theories regarding what lubes are best/worst/ect.

Please make this a sticky if MODS feel it is important enough to do so.  Otherwise just take it for what you will.

Interesting read, have some new stuff to research.  I currently clean initially with CLP, followed by Weaponshield.  I do use grease (Wilson Combat or Weaponshield) on slides, sear, etc.

Note: Weaponshield makes oil & grease.  Ballistol  is pretty good as well, but in my own trials, Weaponshield seems to "still be there" after shooting or storage.

Mil Comm oil and grease as well as solvents. Works for me and the military!!!
