What better way to spend start Thanksgiving than to clean your gun. I have put about 300 rounds thru it since I have owned it and decided to jump into cleaning the gun. With then help of this forum everything went surprisingly well and it functions just how it did before I took it apart. My question is how much oil is too much? Keep in mind oil is not dripping off the gun but I was not sparing on it either

A bit of extra oil is not a problem.  Too little oil is.  Just shoot your rifle as normal and the extra oil will splatter and spit out.  Then it will stop.  Wear shooting glasses and wipe any oil residue or spatters.  Just re-oil the normal places every couple of hundred rounds if you don't intend to do a thorough cleaning.  You can keep your rifle running for several thousand rounds by doing this.
