Well Im off at college and apparently it is not a uncommon occurence for the tempture to get below -10 here.
Typically I would run a light coating of grease on my ARs , AK and Shotgun.
Ive been told that grease will freeze up my gun when it gets this cold so im planning on switching to something different in about a month
Could I get away with using G96 or BF. Any suggestions?

Be sure to remove all traces of the old lube before switching. Some lubes will gum up when mixed

CLP / BreakFree has worked well for me down to 32F (rated to -40F).

If you like a grease type lube, TW25b is a good product that works well in much colder temps than -10F.

RCMP did some testing a few years back and TW25b was one of their recommended options.  IIRC they were testing at like -40 or -60F.

ETA:  tests were at -40.  Here's the report:

G96 gun oil, and BF CLP will both be fine for -10.

I've shot with MPro 7 out to -30 with no issues.  Same with CLP.  Been dying to try some slip2000 ewl, but nobody up here carries it.
