My bottle of BF CLP broke at the neck in my range bag the other day, spilling the entire contents all over my gear.   I'm not intentionally hard on my gear, but the bag does get thrown into the trunk of my car with my other guns.

Can anyone think of a durable alternative to the bottle that CLP typically comes in?   I have this old, steel dual chamber oil can that came with my WASR, but its hard to get just a little lubricant out of the wide opening.

Around the house, I use one of these. It is certainly strong enough to withstand some abuse. It leaves a nice thin coat of oil. I'd probably put it in a locking-lid plastic box to protect the bristles and the bag from getting any extra oil, if I carried it on a regular basis:

If that is too bulky for you, I carry a small USGI grease pot and a small bottle of CLP, crushproofed in a Nalgene 4oz bottle, dummycorded to my range bag:

The packaging that some companies use sucks.

Pump spray bottles suck.

Flip top pour spout bottles suck.

Twist top bottles work the best for me. I save them to reuse them when i get something that comes in lessor packaging.

Good suggestions from all.

Going with an old Hoppes no 9 solvent bottle.   Seems very durable and passed the 6 foot drop test onto concrete.

I was keeping it in a twist top USGI cleaning kit bottle, but I keep Rotella T6 motor oil in it now.

The clear ones labled LSA? Those are really good bottles. I've always wanted to find one labled CLP though.

I just reuse old Visine eye drop bottles with the twist off cap. It is small & doesn't break when dropped.

The tops on the latest Breakfree CLP liquid bottles Suck. I don't know why they changed the top. If you have one of the older ones where the top comes to a point where the hole is, Unscrew it when the bottle is empty and save it for the next bottle.
