| Has anyone used one if so is it worth the money? |
| I just picked up the MUT EOD. It has a couple neat features that are aimed towards the everyday M4/M16 user. That being said, the weapon maintenance specific features don't really add up to the price of the Leatherman unless you are buying a multi tool anyway, in that case it's a good purchase. |

I got a Mut as a Christmas present from my son . I really like it. The mut is more of a leatherman out in the field tool with features that help with the AR. There is the Muti tasker which is a more at the range ar tool kit.

Can one of you guys that has one tell me if it's possible to reach the screw that secures the A2 grip onto a AR receiver using the MUT?
Wanna get a MUT but not sure if I'll pick up the Leatherman bit extender as well. If the MUT reaches I'll have no need for the extending bit. Thanks |

I just tried my MUT and it seems as if it would work fine to remove the MIADs I have on my ARs.
I did not completely remove one, but the long bit that the MUT came with will reach, and there is enough clearance to fully rotate the tool. Quoted:
I got a MUT EOD in trade. very nicely made tool. I will be buying the replacement punch in lieu of the C4 punch. I will also be getting the other little add on you can get for them. Mark I would also like to replace the C4 punch with the take down pin punch. Where have you found to order that part from? Also, what is the "other little add on" you are talking about? Thanks |

By the way, I checked and the MUT definitely does NOT work to get a grip off an AR. Too wide. At least for my grip.
But since I assume most people are not swapping out grips regularly, no biggie. But upon closer inspection of my MUT today I noticed I'm missing a piece of it, fell out because I did not have the toggle thing all the way over. Bummer. |

If a standard A2 has a smaller cavity than a MIAD, it may not work. |

I've had m A2 grip work loose while I was at the range.
Granted this shouldn't happen often I wanted to know if the MUT could reach in there and still have enough room to twist and tighten the bolt. I know the MultiTasker can so that regard I was comparing the 2 tools. I went ahead and ordered the MUT as it has more features but picked up the Leatherman drive extender as well as bit pouch. |
