Hey guys,

Two unrelated questions:

*I'm heat-treating my AR after applying a thin coating of militec-1, using a hair dryer. How long am I supposed to heat treat it? I've been doing it for about 1-2 minutes, and then letting it cool off. I haven't noticed a noticeable texture difference though

*I've been seeing MPro-7 LPX gun oils instead of Breakfree CLP and LP. What's the skinny on those?

Breakfree CLP is the Standard oil everyone judges against. If your rifle will not run on BF CLP your rifle has problems.

Not a fan of militec-1.

You won't notice any change in texture.

Saying all that I use Weapons Shield CLP. IMHOP it cleans and lubes better than BF CLP. Rust prevent do not know.

Only oil I ever had rust  from was Militec.

I used CLP for the longest time and now have switched to LPX. I find that it seems to have better lubricity and seems to coat bearing areas more fluidly.

I agree, Militec-1 never impressed me. Eezox seems to work better as a dry lube imo..
I also use WS for my clp
