[ARCHIVED THREAD] - A good safe?

Anyone recommend a good safe? I was looking at a Republic (by Hollon)...wanting to stay under $1,000..any thoughts? thanks!

This. I am happy with my Liberty Franklin, it's more than $1000, but when it comes to safes you really shouldn't go cheap, especially considering the value of the items inside.
The best advice I can give is pick the size you think you need and then go one size bigger.

I just bought a "36-gun" Stack-On Elite and I am happy with it. Definitely not a Browning... but it'll do for now.
Paid less than $700 as it was on clearance at MC Sports.

I love my Liberty Colonial. Little more than $1000 but I don't have to worry about anything. Looks great too.
