I've used wipeout on bolt actions for years, and it works pretty well . Does anyone have any experience with it causing problems in the gas system of an  ar ? I would think a shot of compressed air through the end of the gas tube would solve any problems.

Wipe out doesn't say not to use in gas system guns ,however gunslick advises not to use their product on gas system guns .

I've been using it exclusively in my AR's for a couple of years now with no ill effects. After cleaning with the Wipe Out I hit the gas tube with a shot of non chlorinated brake cleaner & then a blast of compressed air just to play it safe.
