Since my Dewey rod is one section, I have been pushing my patches and brushes through the chamber towards the muzzle. I know I should be pulling it through the chamber, but I do not like the idea of dropping the rod through the muzzle and then attaching my patches or brushes and then pulling it through towards the muzzle.
Am I using the single section Dewey rod correctly? I have purchased an Otis Cleaning system to address this issue, but I would like to use the Dewey rod as welle Thanks for your input |

You're doing it correctly. |

Thanks for your reply & I will need to purchase a bore glide. The reason why I asked the question is my Bushmaster manual stated that it is best to pull the rod/ patch through rhe chamber verses pushing it. With a two piece rod, you can drop the rod through the chamber and attach the patch and handle and then pull it through the barrel. This, however, was a pain it the butt!
Thanks again for your reply. |
