| I have a bushmaster with the 16' barrel on it and want to install and DD omega free float rail system. Could i put the 9.0 rail on it and keep the front sight post or do i have to go with the 7.0? Thanks |

Thanks I assume you mean front sight base, not front sight post. If so, if the barrel has a carbine length gas tube you will have to use the 7" to keep the front sight base. If it has a midlength gas tube you can use the 9" and keep the FSB. I don't even think Bushmaster makes a midlength but I could be wrong. If you did mean front sight post, you can use any length you want, just remove the front sight base, get a low profile gas block and a detachable, rail mounted front sight. I would use the appropriate length rail and keep the front sight base. |
