I have a Armalite Match AR-15, I've treated it well so far cleaning it every other match (100ish rounds) and feeding it good ammo BUT...I've been bad and ran my M261 in it probably a bit too much and feel the need to take off the gas tube to clean it, (It should be cleaned anyways....or probably replaced)  My problem is I can't get the darn thing out (yes I removed the roll pin) I've soaked it in kroil for some time but its still holding pretty fast....The rifle has a float tube on it which really wont let me get a good 360' grip on the tube.

no need to clean the gas tube it is self cleaning. If your having cycling problems and it is not the key (or anything else) I'd just replace the tube.

I use a piece of leather and a pair of vise grips to lock on the gas tube to tap them out.  Leather goes between the vise grips and gas tube.  Twist and tap.  Don't crush the gas tube.
