Just got a new Olympic 5.45x39 upper to play with on my Stag carbine lower. Locking the take down pin in place is so tight it take a couple raps with a mallet. End result is a good tight fight with no play, that I like. Anyone had a take down pin fit so tight? Should I be concerned?

TIA

I have a tight one that I use to have to use a punch to get out (no hammer/mallet involved though)

when you actually start shooting it the pin will loosen a little, but that is perfectly normal.

I have a Noveske upper and lower like that.  I had to buy one of the Delrin punches for my range bag to get it apart.  It will loosen up the more you shoot it.

+1

Give the rifle a chance to break-in.
