so I got a bunch of spare parts from M+A today - two LPKs, assorted springs, pins, and bolt/extractor stuff. I dont need to use any of the parts right now, and wanted to see what you guys do for parts storage.
just keep em in the plastic baggies they came in? give em a shot of CLP, then put them back in the baggies? give em a shot of just lube, and bag them? |

Get some old perscription pill bottles or smething similiar.
Print out labels to label each bottle. Put in parts. Squirt in CLP. Shake to coat parts in CLP. Store indefinately. ETA: Keeping them in the bag they came in is probably good for a few years as well as long as they are not in a humid envoronment. |
I have most of my spare parts for all my firearms in a two sided fishing lure clear plastic box. The bigger stuff, I've put in a regular box. All I've done before doing this is wipe down all the parts with CLP, just like I do with my reloading equipment... although the die still seem to attract rust. It's alright though, it's only on the outside and cosmetic. |
