Just a newb as far as the AR platform goes but an old phart to guns in general.
What would be a good starting set of AR maintenance tools as far as AR specific items?

Thanx Pete C

Is this better?

FYI, your font and size may irritate some people here.

Pete, are you looking for cleaning equipment or some of the tools to help you build?.

I'm looking for the basic beginners tool kit to dis/re assemble an AR, Special wrenches drifts etc. I have enough cleaning doo dads and toxic chemicals for my other rifles that I can probably do an Aok+ job on that part.

The rifle in question is a new Stag Model 6 varmiter if that helps.

Thanx, Pete C.

Not much needed to field strip...check out Brownells, they have a number of tools available. Also look at the tacks at the top of the forums . You should read the -10 manual it's tacked. That will give you a great idea as to what is needed for day to day maintanance.
