| i clean my ar everytime i go shooting (i usually put about 200 rounds through her each time). i use the carbon remover through the barrel till the patch is clean, use the brush once, use the carbon remover on the ejection port, immediately outside the chamber, etc. then i oil the gun all over, inside and out, and then wipe the oil off. is it necessary to do this each time, or is this even the right way to do it? it takes me FOREVER to do and i was curious if im not respecting the firearm enough or babying it too much. thanks guys |
| I do the same thing. With my handgun, even if I don't fire it, I still take it apart and clean and oil it (a lot of dirt and crap still comes off). The reason I clean my guns like I do is because I am very proud of what I own. It came from my own money that I work hard for and I want to keep my things working in proper order. |

Couldnt have said it better myself. I have some serious OCD when it comes to cleaning my guns. A special thanks to Quib for all the tips that help me get back to my life a little faster. |
