I have machine gunners lube which I use on my Stag M2 as well as CLP but am starting to run low.

While digging through my garage I came across a tube of moly-lithium grease which is a dark brown color and was curious if this would work well or not.

Ideas?

Thanks

imhop grease is not needed on an ar system.

I use a high-temp rated lithium grease on all my firearms. it stays put and keeps lubricating after oil, CLP, etc. evaporates / gets blown out of the gun....

I get it for $5/tub at my local auto parts store. The tub will probably last me 5 years+ and...  It WORKS.

I tried Tetra Grease once just to see how it would perform. When mixed with firing residue, it quickly turned to a thick sludge.

In my opinion the AR needs a liquid lubrication to operate properly. Oil allows firing residue to remain suspended where grease will not.

I agree with Quib, I use FP10 on my AR's and a concoction of lubriplate and the high shear camshaft installation moly on my M1'a and M1a's. Make a nice grey grease that blends with the park...Tetra during lower receiver assembly only..
