Whats a good solvent for inside, spring and follower?

You don't really need solvents for that, but Hoppes 9 is probably the safest and most versatile cleaning solvent on the market. You can use it to clean bores and it is still safe enough to use on internal parts. Smells great too!

But really, all I do is take the magazines down, wipe the follower, spring, and inside of the mag body with paper towels to get all the carbon deposits out. No further cleaning really, apart from a light lubricant coating.

I use old t-shirts and hand towels to clean with. You do not need any lube or solvent. It is okay to use if you have some type of filth on there. Just make sure you wipe it all off. The mags work best when clean and dry. Rule of thumb, if you drop it,,,,clean it. Mr Murphy is always around.

OK, Quib, I live in CA and my 10 rounders cannot be disassembled.  What do you recommend for cleaning.  I only range shoot (clean environment) so I wipe well with a clean rag and do not lube.

I'm in the same boat with you here in NJ.  I use Gun Scrubber when I feel it's time to clean mags. Invert the mags, spray inside to the point of run off and then stand them on end until dry. So far so good. I'd like to hear Quib's thought's on this topic as well though.

Gun Scrubber is what, twselve bucks for an aerosol can?

At the auto parts store, it's called "Brake Cleaner" and is three bucks for that same aerosol can.

+1

Carb or brake cleaner works the same and is cheaper. I do splurge for the can of BF Powder Blast though, and keep the carb or brake cleaner strictly for degreasing parts.

Spraying out the 10-rd mags with cleaner, then drying out with compressed air should be fine. In humid climates I would worry about rust though. I would try somehow to get lube on the mag spring.

Doggone, QUIB.

You do LP on BCG, CLP everywhere else.  So do I.
You know that Gun Scrubber is overpriced Brake Cleaner.  So do I.

I bet you like your women tall, too!
