Well I was cleaning my AR laswt night really well and I happened to look down into the flash hider and saw a bunch of build up.... wasnt sure what it was but i used a pick and as the black soot was removed it was all copper build up on the flat front edge of the barrel. I had to use hoppes lead remover stuff and a pick to eventyually get it all off , was a bitc$ to get off. Does anyone else experience this... Could it affect accuracy cuzz it was right near the crown and I figured it could distort gas flow and stray the bullet if you know what I mean. I think I will be cleaning this spot every cleaning from now on

I use Break-Free Bore Cleaning Foam on my rifles. It cleans the entire barrel from the locking lugs to the flash hider. It’ll soften that carbon build-up forming between your barrel and flash hider so that a q-tip and CLP is all that’s required to keep that area carbon free.

Applied to the barrel: BF BCF at work in the FH.

After wiping away the BF BCF: A small amount of carbon remains. This can be wiped away with CLP and a q-tip.

Doesn't the foam gum up the gas tube?? I use the foam on my handguns and AK types but have always been afraid to use it on an AR.

What I've done recently when using BF foaming bore cleaner is after I've run a few patches through the barrel, I use canned air to blow out what is in the gas tube then run a pipe cleaner through the gas tube.  Run one more patch through the bore and I'm done.

It’s not recommended to physically stick anything down the gas tube.

I've used Sweet's 7.62 for years now and have had very good luck with it getting bores cleaned of copper.  It is a bit agressive but as long as you follow the directions it will work great.

But I'm careful not to get it stuck or anything

It would be better if you used MPro 7 Copper Remover/Hoppes Elite Copper Terminator, Outers Foul Out, Sweet's 7.62, Shooter's Choice Copper Remover because they are  designed to remove copper, and they are all good.
