[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Magazine not loading correctly

Have a used 30 round AR mag....can load 10 to 20 then follower gets stuck, can shake out ammo and follower sticks. Tried some Dri-Lube but no luck. What will it take to fix it, or am I better off trashing it for a new one?

Maybe replace the follower with a Magpul one? Cost a couple of bucks. . . .

Maybe weak spring?

Disassemble.
Clean.
Inspect.

Lube, reassemble, test. Perhaps a magpul follower is in order or a new mag altogether. The bodies do get worn out after some time.

Sounds like the mag might have a small dent or burr inside. If not,change out the follower and spring.
