How often should the extractor be removed from the bolt and cleaned?

I remove and clean my extractor each time I clean the weapon.

You can’t go wrong if you follow the -10 Operators Manual and use that as you guideline.

Quib, you have to be careful. Alot of people didn't pay attention in basic or on active duty. They have no clue what a -10 is in anything.

Or they are just civilians who shoot for fun and support the sport like me.  I just bought my first AR

I clean it everytime myself.. and use pipe cleaner to get up inside where the firing pin sits
