Hi I 'm still using some old school CLP and am about out of it. I will be looking for another large lot of something less repulsive to the female occupants in my house.
It seems the stink travels throughout the house.
I have a couple  tubes of miltek and it's not too bad. Anying smell better or at least not repulsive.

FP10 and Weapon Shield smell like cinnamon.

Close the door :) Thats what I do to keep from bothering the rest of my family when cleaning the rifle...

When weather permits, I just open a window and use a fan to pull air out of the room so that the whole house doesn't stink of solvents/lubes....works like a charm....
.....except during blizzards.

M-Pro 7 is a decent cleaner that is virtually odorless.  It works well for nearly all of your firearms cleaning, but it is not a copper solvent.  Lubricate with Slip 2000, Weapon Shield, Breakfree, etc and the odor is minimal.  Ventilation is always a good thing.

What kind of CLP are you using?  I just took a whif of some BreakFree and it's not bad at all.  Women do have a stronger sense of smell, so it could be that.

It's not Royco is it?  That stuff is horrible, though I've never seen it for commercial sale.

Avoid the spray can versions of any oils at all costs.  The smell from those will be stronger than a squeeze bottle.

You'll probably have to take her to the store with you to do a smell test on the various oils.

I'd check out the ones like SLIP200, and Mpro-7/Hoppes ELITE.  Usually the less toxic ones like those have a weaker smell to them.

My favorites (not just because of odor):

WS  pleasant odor
SLiP2000 no odor
SLiP2000 EWL slight odor

Weapon shield (and FP-10) really has a unique smell to it, as mentioned above.  Doubt you can buy it local, so I'd give them a call, explain your situation, and see if they still do the free sample thing they used to.
